Introduction

Dear customer, Congratulations on your purchase of a XTZ product. This product is state of the art concerning
performance and will provide you with many years of listening pleasure when properly set up and cared for.
We strongly recommend to read this owner's manual and follow the instructions provided to help you attain
maximum system performance. In any case, we wish you lots of pleasure and enjoyment with your new XTZ
product.

Prior to installation

Please unpack the system carefully. Use caution when lifting or moving to avoid injury. Save the carton and all
packaging materials for future use. Packing this unit in any other carton may result in damage when shipping
that is not covered by the warranty. Fill out and return the warranty card to complete your product registration
and record the serial number and purchase information in the space provided for your own records.

Connection options

Important: Do not connect your active subwoofer to the mains power supply until all other audio and video
components have been properly connected.
Depending on the make and design of your amplifier or receiver, there are two ways to control the active
subwoofer.
If your amplifier or AV-receiver is able to execute the bass management and fitted with a special subwoofer
output (LFE) or a mono subwoofer output, connect this output to the "LFE" input on the subwoofer. If the
subwoofer shall execute the bass management and your amplifier provides a mono or stereo subwoofer
output, connect this output to the „Line in" input at the subwoofer. Use a shielded RCA cable for these kind
of connections. Poor quality cables may pickup interference and result in hum or noise. Keep the length of
cables as short as possible and route all input signal cables away from power cables to reduce the potential
of induced noise.
If your amplifier or AV-receiver is not fitted with a special subwoofer output, please use the direct connection
to the screw terminals marked „High Level Input" via the loudspeaker connections of your amplifier or AV-
receiver. Please note the correct polarity, red for plus (+) and black for minus (-). Use speaker cables of cross
sectional area of minimum 2.5 mm or 14 AWG for this connection.
