Programming the limit positions

Factory setting:
The limit positions have been preset to the dimensions defi ned in the order
confi rmation.
If any other dimensions are required, proceed as described below. The minimum
stroke is 30 mm.
The procedure is based on the use of a mounting cable.
A mounting cable for setting the limit positions (order under TN 232430002 (ter-
minal) or TN 232460001 (Hirschmann coupling STAK 3)) or a switching device
with two buttons that can be actuated simultaneously for retracting and exten-
ding is required.
1. Traverse the device at least 30 mm towards the centre position from the
desired limit position.
2. Press both buttons on the mounting cable simultaneously for at least three
seconds. The device moves briefly back and forth.
You are in programming mode.

The former limit positions are deleted.
3. Traverse the device to the first desired limit position.
4. Release the button at the limit position.
5. The limit position can be corrected by traversing the device
briefly (< 2 seconds).
6. The limit position is saved by traversing the device in the opposite direction
to the other limit position. Press and hold the button > 4 seconds. The positi-
on is saved when the device stops briefly.
7. The other limit position is programmed in the same way.
8. Programming mode is automatically closed when both limit positions have
been programmed.
There should always be a short pause between every press of the button
(1 second).
There is always a short pause before the device starts moving when it is in pro-
gramming mode.
