Heating stone for terrariums

As animals whose body temperature varies with

the temperature of their surroundings, most
reptiles in their natural habitat choose to lie on

sun-warmed rocks to warm their bodies up to
S "operating" temperature. With a surface tempe-
rature of 30-45° C, JBL ReptilTemp provides a

source of heat which ideally suits this natural be-
haviour. The warmth provides the best conditions

for digestion, allowing the digestive enzymes to
reach their maximum effi ciency.

JBL ReptilTemp is made of sturdy plastic and can

be easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

Application:
Place JBL ReptilTemp on commercially available
terrarium substrate, such as sand, earth etc. (e.g.
JBL TerraSand, JBL TerraBasis). The position in
the terrarium should be selected so that only the
section of the cable with anti-bite guard is inside
the terrarium and the heating stone is in easy
reach of the reptiles.
Caution:
• Never place infl ammable materials such as ter-
rarium substrate made of wood, bark etc. or
cloth under or on the heating stone.
• The heating stone is not suitable for use in
plastic terrariums.
• When in operation, the heating stone must
not come into contact with water or be placed in
water.
• The heating stone must never be placed direct-
ly on the glass fl oor of the aquarium.
• The connecting cable cannot be replaced. The
heating stone must be discarded if the cable is
