Prior to charging a battery

If the battery must be removed from the
vehicle prior to charging, always remove the
grounded connection from the battery first.
Also, ensure that all other consumers in the
vehicle are turned off.
J 
Ensure sufficient ventilation to allow the
distribution of poisonous vapours or gases.
J 
Ensure that the battery poles are clean. If
the battery has a removable ventilation cap,
fill up every battery cell with distilled water
up to the level recommended by the manu-
facturer. Do not overfill the cells.

If the battery has no caps, refer to the
manufacturers recommendations regarding
charging and charging speed.

connected to the 230 V alternative current
socket when you connect it with a battery.

Ensure that the area around the battery is
well ventilated.

Connect the positive charging clamp (red) to
the positive pole of the battery (marked
with P or +).

In case of connection with false polarity, the
power supply to the battery is interrupted,
warning acc. to display (see Illustration A).

Battery recognition
The charger now starts to determine the voltage
of the battery. This process may take a few min-
utes. Display during the process shows according
image (see Illustration C).
After the battery size was determined, the display
shows the voltage of the connected battery, 6 V,
12 V, 24 V (see Illustration D). The charging
display shows the charging in process.

After confirmation of the battery voltage, the
charger starts to charge the battery. The display

shows „CH" for several seconds (see Illustration E).
The charger then shows the percentage of
charge (see Illustration E).
Slow charge
When the battery is charged to 90 %, the charg-
er switches to SLOW CHARGE mode with a lower
voltage to fill up the remaining capacity of the
battery.
This is displayed on the operating panel with „SL"
together with the charging status bar lighting
up to the top and bottom (see Illustration F).
Security / Operation
