6.2 Connecting the voltage converter
Switch the voltage converter off. To do this, bring the ON/OFF switch (Position 4 in the over-
view) to the „0" setting. Fully unroll the connection cable (Position 6 in the overview). Insert
the connector (Position 7 in the overview) into the 12 V on-board socket of your vehicle.
Lay the cable loosely and openly. Do not lay the cable between seat cushions or
under foot mats. Do not cover, for example, with clothing, blankets or seat covers.
This is a fire risk. The cable may not be bent, crushed, trapped or stretched.
Lay the cable so that it does not hinder you when you are driving the vehicle.
6.3 Connecting a consumer to the voltage converter
6.3.1 Connecting a 230 V device
Do not connect a device with a performance that exceeds the maximum per-
formance of the voltage converter. The performance data can be found in the
operating instructions or on the type plate of the device you wish to connect.
Switch the voltage converter off. Insert the connector of your 230 V device into the socket
of the voltage converter (Position 2 in the overview). Switch the voltage converter on, the
green control lamp (Position 1 in the overview) is lit. You may now operate the 230 V device.
After ending operating, first switch off the voltage converter, then pull the connector of the
230 V device from the socket of the voltage converter.
6.3.2 Connecting a USB device
Switch the voltage converter off. Connect your USB device to the USB port (Position 3 in the
overview) of the voltage converter. Switch the voltage converter on, the green control lamp
(Position 1 in the overview) is lit. You can now operate or charge your USB device.
After ending operating, first switch off the voltage converter, then pull the connector of the
USB device from the USB connection of the voltage converter.
If you do not intend to use the voltage converter for a longer period of time, switch
it off and disconnect the 12 V connector from the vehicle socket.
