11. Troubleshooting

The domestic water supply you have purchased is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is safe to operate.
Even then, problems and malfunctions can occur. Therefore, observe the following information on how to solve the
possible malfunctions.
The pump of the domestic water supply does not suction
• Open any tap on the pressure side, as the air in the hose or in the pump cannot escape. Move the domestic water
supply a little back and forth (unless it is screwed tight).
• Fill the suction hose and the pump with water before connecting the domestic water supply to the mains voltage.
• Unplug the mains plug briefly from the mains socket and then plug it in again.
• Check that the suction opening of the suction hose is completely under water.
• If you have placed a shut-off ball valve in the suction line, it must never be closed during the operation of the
domestic water supply.
Water is being pumped, but the pressure switch does not turn off the pump
• A tap on the pressure side is open or a hose connection is leaking.
• Only if all discharge openings are closed and the hose connection on the pressure side is tight, sufficient pressure
can be built up via the pressure vessel so that the pressure switch deactivates the pump.
• Check the pressure in the pressure vessel. See chapter 12. Maintenance and Cleaning, Section b) Check and
adjust the pressure in the pressure vessel. This must be in the range of 1.8 - 2.0 bar.
The pump does not work
• The overtemperature protection has tripped. Disconnect the domestic water supply from the mains voltage and let
it cool down (at least 30 minutes). Eliminate the cause of the trip (e.g. water temperature too high, dry running too
long, shut-off ball valve on the suction side accidentally closed or similar).
Flow rate is lower or too low
• Check the suction opening or the water filter mounted on it for dirt.
• The pump of the domestic water supply sucks in air because the suction opening is no longer completely under water.
• Check the attachment of the suction hose to the domestic water supply.
• Check the suction hose for leaks or kinks.
• More the flow rate decrease is, larger the delivery height is.
• The hose diameter is too low.
• An unsuitable hose, which was deformed by the negative pressure during the suction process, was used on the
suction side. Be sure to use a kink- and vacuum-tight suction hose on the suction side.
After closing a tap on the pressure side, the pump continues to run for a while
• This is normal as the pump of the domestic water supply must first build up a certain pressure, so that the pressure
switch turns off the pump.
