Do not use force when tightening the fittings.
Make sure that the suction hose does not exert any mechanical stress on the pump. Fix the suction hose
separately; this applies especially when the suction hose is very long. The suction hose should be as short
as possible to maximise the conveying capacity.
All components of the suction side must be tight, otherwise the air may be sucked in, causing the
malfunction of the pump or pressure switch.
Fill the suction hose with clean water before connecting it to the domestic water supply.
Use a suitable coarse and fine filter to prevent contamination from entering the pump or pressure vessel.
This also prevents the ingress of dirt into the lines of the pressure side.
Be sure to insert a kink- and vacuum-tight suction hose. Such hoses usually have a plastic or metal spiral
present in the sheath. Pressure hoses are not suitable for being used on the suction side.
The suction hose must be routed so that it rises towards the suction opening. This prevents the formation
of air pockets.
Be sure to install a return stop at the end of the suction hose. This not only facilitates and speeds up the
suction process during the first set up of the domestic water supply, but it also prevents the water from
draining in normal operation when the pump is switched off. This shortens the time required for suction to
start again.
Place the end of the suction hose in the water so that it is always under the water and the domestic water
supply does not suck air.
• At the outlet opening (11), close the pressure line, e.g. to a garden irrigation system or to the water supply of the
toilet flush (remove the plastic cover from the outlet opening first).

All components of the pressure line (hose, connections/junctions, etc.) must be pressure-tight and leak-
proof. Unsuitable hoses may burst, resulting in injury! Leaking water can also cause damage and/or injury!
In any case, make sure that the pump does not run dry as it has no dry run protection.
• Fill the pump with clean water (≥ 1,5 L). At the top of the pump, you
will find a filling opening (1). Open the filling opening with a suitable
open-end or ring spanner. Close these openings after filling carefully.
The pump can also be filled with water via the outlet opening (11).
• To minimise the transmission of vibrations, the domestic water supply
should be connected to a hose network via a flexible pressure line.
• Plug the power plug into a proper protective contact mains plug.
