You have acquired a quality product with your purchase of the
happy life ear thermometer. To ensure that your infrared ear ther-
mometer provides successful results for a long time, we recommend
that you read carefully through the following notes on its use and
care. Incorrect treatment and improper use may lead to damage to
the unit and injury to the user.
The way in which this infrared ear thermometer works is based on the
most advanced infrared technology. Measurement in the ear is the
most appropriate way of reflecting the temperature inside the body.
The advantages of this thermometer are its ease of use and accurate
recording of the temperature within one second. It is even possible to
take a measurement whilst the person is sleeping.
1.2 Safety Notes
• Using this unit is not a substitute for consulting a doctor.
• Always use the thermometer with a new and unused probe cover
to prevent infections from being passed on.
• Measurements taken with a damaged probe cover may result in
inaccurate results and may damage the probe.
• Ear wax may result in an ear temperature reading that is too low.
Ensure that the ear canal is clean to obtain accurate measurements.
• This unit is not waterproof! Do not immerse it in water or other
liquids.
• Never use the unit for any other purpose than measuring
temperatures in the ear.
• The unit is only intended for use in the home and not for
commercial purposes or the medical sector.
