Additional Hints
For safety reasons, before cleaning electrical equipment (e. g. defrosting a
freezer, cleaning the inside of an oven) you must disconnect the appliances
from power mains. To remove the ice in the freezer, use the detail nozzle.
Keep some cloths ready and a drip pan for collecting the melted ice. To clean
the inside of the oven, use the round nylon brush and for better visibility,
adjust the flow of steam to a minimum by turning the steam controller (1) to
the setting MIN.
Before thoroughly cleaning textiles such as upholstered furniture, velvet,
carpets or leather you should test if the fabrics are resistant to steam by
applying less steam on a not normally visible spot. Apply steam and wait until
the tested spot has dried completely. Check if the there is any change in
colour or any deformation. Velour carpets should not be cleaned with the
steam cleaner. For cleaning upholstered furniture place the detail nozzle (16)
sideways to the soiled spot, not vertically! By doing this, the jet of steam will
blow the stain to the side. Hold a dry cloth next to the nozzle to absorb the
stain.
