Outdoor light with motion detector LLZ
Please read carefully and retain!
In buying this item you have opted for a high-
quality GEV product. Please read these user
instructions carefully to ensure the device
is used correctly. Keep them in a safe place
for future reference. Use this product only as
intended (as set out in the user instructions).
Any changes or modifi cations to the product
or painting it will result in loss of warranty.
How it works
The motion detector works based on passive
infrared technology. Via a PIR sensor, the detector
notices any heat sources moving within its fi eld
of detection and switches on automatically.
Static heat sources do not trigger it. The adjustable
twilight switch lets you choose whether you have
the motion detector working day and night or only
when it is dark. The integrated timer also lets you
adjust how long the light stays on.
Safety information
To be fi tted by qualifi ed electricians only,
observing
all
standard
national
installation regulations.
No work to be carried out while live.
Circuit trip switch must therefore be switched off.
Check to make sure the connecting cable is
not live!

unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of
the appliance is allowed.
Where to install
The light is best at detecting movement
when it is positioned at right angles to the
motion
detector.
Motion
detectors
should
therefore always be set up so that likely
movement is not directly towards them.
Installation
Remove the cover according to Fig. B and the
touch guard according to Fig. C. Mark the drill
holes according to Fig. D. Feed the connecting
cable through the rubber seal provided.
Fasten the house light to the wall (Fig. E).
Connect the mains connection cable as shown in
the wiring diagram (Fig. F). If desired, connect an
additional device via PE + N + L'.
Mount the touch guard and fi t the illuminant.
Place the cover onto the lower section of the light,
as shown in Fig. G. Switch the circuit protection
back on.
Test mode/Motion test
This test mode/walk test is designed to help you
individually set the desired fi eld of detection.
Set the controller TIME to minimum and LUX to
sun (Fig. K). If the light is switched on via a
separate switch, turn this on. A self-test is then
initiated
lasting
approx.
40
seconds. The
connected device will remain on throughout
this time. When the device turns off, the walk
test will begin. The device will now switch on for
approx. 5 seconds in response to any movement,
regardless of the ambient lighting level. This time
period is initiated by any movement from the
front. The motion detector can be turned
horizontally (Fig. I).
After the motion detector has been adjusted you
can carry out further settings.
Settings (Fig. H)
LUX Twilight switch, c. 10 - 1000 Lux
TIME Setting for how long the light stays on,
approx. 5 secs. to 5 mins.
