1. Function
By the additional, switchable vibration alarm, the device is also usable ideally in loud
surroundings and for persons with impaired hearing. The FR 81 radio gong is suitable
for use in dry rooms.
The transmitter and receiver are to be pursued independently of mains power, thus
making a wide range of applications possible.
The devices are adjustable on four different codings to avoid interferences from simi-
lar radio communication systems in the neighbourhood. The range amounts under
free field con-ditions up to approx. 100 meters.
The battery-operated transmitter can be used for further transmission through direct
connection to existing doorbell systems (also possible without a problem in multi-
familyhouses) or with a separate (commercially-available) doorbell button.
2. Important safety instructions
• Wrong connection leads to device destruction
• Never use the product if it shows signs of damage.
• This product must be kept out of reach of children and unauthorised persons.
• Always ensure the correct polarity of the batteries when installing.
• Do not carry out your own repairs as this may impair EMC and electrical safety.
• The wireless radio chime FR-81 should only be used in dry rooms.
