3.3. Instructions for lighting
Please note: Before you barbecue for the first time, heat the
FlexFire without grill plate and food at least 30 minutes before.
Clean the grill plate with warm water and a little detergent. This
ensures that any production residues can be removed or
volatilized. Use only high‐quality fuel with DIN test and
surveillance signs and use as much as possible smoke‐free coal.
Use only grill lighter tested to DIN EN 1860‐3 and observe the
instructions on the package. Never use alcohol, gasoline or other
easily flammable liquids, and do not apply igniter or charcoal‐
impregnated charcoal to already burning or still warm charcoal.
Half the amount of charcoal in grill mode corresponds to the
maximum filling and must not be exceeded. Wait with the
barbecue until a light coating of ash has formed on the coal. Only
now place food to be grilled.
When using the FlexFire in Fire‐Mode, please use only knots, bark,
wood or related products from the trade. Protect the flora and
fauna by leaving untouched living trees and plants. If you want to
blow your fire, blow evenly into the fire's embers. Do not blow too
hard to avoid flying sparks. Alternatively, you can turn the front of
the FlexFire against the wind so that the wind blows the fire.
Attention, flying sparks!
