Remotely controlling the main unit
The power sockets on the main unit can be remotely controlled
via:

Web user interface via the Internet
•
Windows® Live Messenger.
Web UI

To use the web user interface via the Internet, you need to
setup a port forwarding in your router and use the DDNS
server. (See the chapter "Web UI - Configuration")
You can either use the free domain name service provided
or apply for a domain name service from the providers listed
below:

•

Preparation for using Web UI over the Internet
1.
Login to the web UI via the LAN.
2.
Select "Network" on the menu bar.
3.
Fill in the "HTTP Port Number". The default port commonly
used for a web browser is 80. However, you can select an
alternative port number from 1 – 65535.
4.
Select "System Status" on the menu bar and note down the
"IP address".
