become clogged, or whenever you
replace the battery. You can purchase
additional filters from your Sonetik
Specialist. There is a tool included
in the exchange filter pack. Use this
tool to remove the clogged filter
from the hearing aid. Press the
replacement filter onto the aperture
at the end of the receiver unit. If you
have difficulties replacing the earwax
filter, contact your Sonetik Specialist.
The wearing of a hearing aid may
accelerate the accumulation of
earwax. This can easily be removed
by your physician. Regular annual
visits are recommended. You should
not use cotton swabs to clean your
ears, due to the risk of pushing the
wax deeper into the ear canal.
Caution: Make sure that the new earwax filter is firmly in place in the
receiver unit. Improper insertion can result in the earwax filter falling off and
becoming lodged in the ear canal. If this happens, contact your physician
immediately to have it removed. Do not attempt to remove it by yourself.
