Mounting instructions
Single-phase energy meters snap onto top hat rail, ac-
cording to DIN 50 022 (35 mm).
Cabinets in which the meters are installed must always be
dust and humidity proof, with protection according to IP 51

Conditions of use
The local standards, directives and regulations must be
respected. Meter installation may only be carried out by
competent and appropriately trained staff. This meter
must be protected from humidity during storage, transport
and operation. It should not be operated outside the speci-
fied technical data.
Important instructions
Safety
Check compliance with nominal voltage before commis-
sioning the device (see name plate). Check that connection
cables are free from damage and that, when wiring up the
device, they are not connected to voltage.
Cleaning
When disconnected from power, the meter can be cleaned
with a dry or with a soap solution moistened cloth. Never
use corrosive substances, or products containing solvents,
to clean meters.
Maintenance
The Optec Basic 1/65 range is maintenance-free. If dam-
aged during transportation or storage, no repairs should
be undertaken by the user.
Guarantee
In the case of calibrated meters, breaking or damaging
the lead seal invalidates calibration.
By opening the meter, the warranty claim purges.
