6. configuraTion via The Pc
The connection between the serial (COM) port of
the PC and the PC-Link is made by means of the
supplied DB9 connector (NOT the
DB25) and cable equipped with a RJ12
connector.
Configuration using the PC software, please refer
to the software manual on the CD-ROM.

7. usage Warnings

- It is strictly forbidden to connect the 230V~ 50Hz supply voltage to terminals B1, B2
or DCF. Damage may occur if the PC is connected.
- The connections between the switching unit, shutter unit, dimcontroller, RF interface,
PC-Link and the PC-Logic must comply with the polarities. B1 must always be connected
to B1 and B2 to B2. If this is not complied with, the installation will not function or errors
may occur.
- Never use the Niko DB9 connector to link the modem to the PC-Link.
- The PC software has been designed to program a Nikobus installation and not to be
continuously connected to the Nikobus. The PC causes an unnecessary load on the
Nikobus.
- Never connect a telephone plug directly to the PC-Link.
