Charging the battery
You must fully charge the battery for approx. 90 minutes before the first
use. The operating life of the device is approx. 60 minutes when it is fully
charged.
To charge the battery, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the device is switched off before charging the battery.
2. Connect the mains adapter [16] to a suitable socket.
3. Plug the other end of the mains adapter [16] into the connection
socket [10] on the underside of the device. All symbols now light up
in succession on the display. The three alternately flashing bars of
the charging status indicator [5], as well as the charging indicator [7],
indicate that the device is charging. If the battery is fully charged, the
bars of the charging status indicator [5] light up continuously. You can
view the precise battery charge level with the battery indicator [6].
4. Once the charging process is complete, pull the mains adapter [16] out
of the socket and the device.

6. Operation

Travel lock
The device has a travel lock. If the travel lock is activated, it is not possible
to switch on the device. The travel lock prevents the device from switching
on by accident (e.g. when transporting it in a suitcase).
To activate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button
seconds. The time is counted down on the display.
The travel lock indicator [9] lights up.
If the ON/OFF button
travel lock symbol [9] will light up in the display to indicate that the device
is locked.
To deactivate the travel lock, press and hold the ON/OFF button
for 3 seconds.
The time is also counted down on the display.
Tips for shaving/trimming
• Clean your face before shaving to remove any dirt or grease from the skin.
This will reduce skin irritation and make the shave feel more pleasant.
• Apply a little pressure and shave in circular motions to keep skin irritation
to a minimum.
• Shave the most difficult areas first, such as under the nose or along the
jawline. The shaver heads [1] are still cool at the start of the shave. If you
need to shave over the difficult areas several times towards the end of
