5.1 Opening outer extraction panel

Before you can remove the grease filters,
you must open the outer extractor panel.
The grease filters can then be removed.
The front of the extractor panel will then
drop open. Hook your fingers behind the
panel and place your thumbs on the outer
edge of the hood.
Note: Because of the closing system used,
the panel will only come loose if sufficient
force is applied.
5.2.1 Removing magnetic filters
Before removing the grease filters, switch
off the extractor and wait two minutes to
allow the motor to stop running.
Pull on the grip to tip the filter out of the
extractor. To avoid damage to other objects,
be careful to ensure that the filter does
not fall.
If a magnetic strip filter is equipped with an
optional charcoal filter, that filter combina-
tion is secured by a detachable chain.
Filters may be fitted with cover plates to
improve extraction efficiency. Note that the
filters must be replaced in their original po-
sitions to ensure correct extractor operation.
Cleaning the filters: see 5.3 Cleaning filters.
Clean the contact surfaces of the magnetic
strip before replacing the filter.
Secure the safety chains.
Put the filters back.
