3.2 Installation assistance

The extractor hood comes with a temporary
hanging system with sliding plates in order
to facilitate its mounting. In order to be able
to use this system, the hole in the ceiling
should be fitted with a hanging rim for the
purpose of temporarily hanging the unit.
Note: the perimeter must be robust
enough to hold the extractor hood at four
points and not therefore, for example, be
plasterboard!
1. First open the panel and release the small
chain so that the panel is fully open.
2. Remove the connection cable from the
Neerim and plug it into the electric socket
which should be in the space into which the
unit will be fitted.
The outer extractor panel may never be
removed or disconnected.
Place the extractor hood as close as possi-
ble to the ceiling.
Connect the ducting pipe (which is not de-
livered as standard) to one of the optional
connection points of your extractor hood.
Use a flexible duct so as to ensure minimum
excess ducting.
There should be no unnecessary bends,
twists or excess duct work. The air flow will
be slowed down by these and the extractor
hood will not work as well as it should.
EN 8 Installation
Reconnect the connection cable to the ex-
tractor hood. Connect the 5-pole connector
of the external motor. Using the 5-pole con-
nector of the extractor hood.
3. Position the extractor hood in the hole in
the ceiling.
Note: Hold the unit firmly in place until
you have completed all the steps. The
extractor unit is still not yet properly
installed in the ceiling.
4. Partially unscrew the two positioning
sliding plates screws on the front side and
slide them out. Screw them both firmly in
place when this is done.
5. The extractor hood is now in place, hang-
ing on the temporary hanging plates.
The hanging plate may NEVER be used
for permanently supporting the unit!
