3.3 Installation

The technical aspects of installation (elec-
trical, ventilation and building work) of your
extractor hood must be performed by an ap-
proved installer in accordance with applica-
ble standards. If your extractor has non-
standard dimensions, please consult the
drawings supplied with the extractor with
regard to installation.
The manufacturer does not accept any
responsibility in the event of installation,
mounting and use not being carried out in
accordance with the applicable rules and
regulations.

3.4 Mounting

First determine the position of the hole in
the ceiling in relation to the hob; ensure that
the hole is in a sizeable ceiling space be-
tween joists. The ceiling between the joists
must be at least 46 mm thick.
For upward extraction, the joists should
preferably run parallel to the short sides
This is because of the protective cover of
the setting indicator.
When using the optional flat duct system,
the joists must run parallel to the direction
of extraction. In the event that the joists are
parallel to the long side, an additional hole
should be made in the joisted layer at the
level of the extractor hood for the status in-
dicator and for the hanging board.
EN 10 Installation
Place the extractor hood in the hole in the
ceiling.
Secure the extractor hood in the joisted
layer using the screws provided.
