-
Press the selection button (7) to choose 2T or 4T
mode:
-
TIG 2T; In this mode, the torch trigger must remain
depressed.
-
TIG 4T; This mode of welding is mainly used for
long welding runs to reduce operator fatigue. In this
mode the operator can press and release the torch
trigger and the output will remain active. To shut off
the arc, the trigger switch must again be depressed
and released, thus eliminating the need for the
operator to hold the torch trigger.
-
Adjust the welding current using the knob (3).
-
Digital Ammeter (6); The digital display is used to
display both the pre-set current and actual output
current of the power source.
-
Adjust the Down Slope (8). This parameter
operates in TIG modes only and is used to set the
time for the weld current to ramp down, after the
torch trigger switch has been pressed.
To activate the Downslope function in TIG 4T mode
whilst welding, the TIG Torch Trigger Switch must
be depressed and held which will ramp the Welding
Current down to zero over a defined period of time.
The time period is determined by the Downslope
Control Knob (8). At any time whilst welding if the
TIG Torch Trigger Switch is depressed and released
the arc will extinguish immediately.
-
Adjust the Post Flow (9). This parameter operates
in TIG modes only and is used to adjust the post
gas flow time once the arc has extinguished. This
control is used to dramatically reduce oxidation of
the tungsten electrode.
Remember to shut off the machine and close
the gas cylinder valve when you have finished
welding.

4. MAINTENANCE

ANY MAINTENANCE OPERATION MUST BE
CARRIED OUT BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
4.1 MAINTENANCE OF THE WELDING
INVERTER
In the case of maintenance inside the machine, make
sure that the switch (12) is in position "O" and
that the power cord is disconnected from the mains. It is
also necessary to periodically clean the
interior of the machine from the accumulated metal
dust, using compressed air.

4.2 PRECAUTIONS AFTER REPAIRS

After making repairs, take care to organize the wiring so
that there is secure insulation between the
primary and secondary sides of the machine. Do not
allow the wires to come into contact with moving
parts or those that heat up during operation.
Reassemble all clamps as they were on the original
machine, to prevent a connection from occurring
between the primary and secondary circuits should a
wire accidentally break or be disconnected. Also mount
the screws with geared washers as on the
original machine.
