3. INSTALLATION

This must be carried out by skilled personnel. All
connections must be carried out according to current
regulations, and in full observance of safety laws
(regulation CEI 26-23 – CEI CLC 62081).
-
Make sure that the supply voltage matches the
voltage indicated on the specifications plate.
-
When mounting a plug, make sure it has an
adequate capacity, and that the yellow/green
conductor of the power supply cable is connected to
the earth pin.
WARNING! Extension cords of up to 30 m must have a
crosssection of at least 2.5 mm

1) Negative output terminal (-).
2) Positive output terminal (+).
3) This knob is used to adjust welding current.
4) Power indicator: The led lights to indicate when the
machine is turned on.
5) Thermal protection.
6) Current digital display.
7) Process selection switch: 4T (TIG welding), 2T (TIG
welding), MMA (Stick).
8) Down-Slope (To be used by TIG mode only):
0 – 10 seconds.
This is the time in which the current reaches the
minimum value and the arc shuts down.
9) Post Flow (To be used by TIG mode only):
0 – 7 seconds.
This parameters is used to adjust the post gas flow
time once the arc has extinguished.
10) TIG torch trigger connector.
11) Shielding Gas Outlet (TIG Welding Torch).
12) Power switch: control power through and break.
13) Shielding Gas Inlet.
14) Power Access client: access to cable.
15) Fan: for cooling the machine.

3.2 MMA WELDING

-
This welding machine is suitable for welding all
types of electrodes, with the exception of cellulosic.
Make sure that the switch (12) is in position 0, then
-
connect the welding cables, matching the polarity
required by the manufacturer of the electrodes you
will be using.
VERY IMPORTANT:
Connect the terminal of the grounding cable to the
workpiece, making sure that contact is good to ensure
smooth equipment operation and avoid voltage dips with
the workpiece.
-
Connect the grounding cable to the Negative
output terminal (1).
-
Connect the Electrode Holder lead to the Positive
output terminal (2).
-
Make sure that the supply voltage matches the
voltage of the welding machine.
-
Do not touch the torch or electrode clamp
simultaneously with the mass terminal.
-
Set the Process Selection Switch (7) to MMA.
-
Turn the machine on using the switch (12).
-
Adjust the welding current using the knob (3).
Always remember to shut off the machine and
remove the electrode from the clamp after
welding.
3.3 TIG WELDING
-
This welding machine is a constant current power
source built using INVERTER technology, designed
for welding the following materials using the
TIG procedures, with contact starting and high
frequency: stainless steel, iron, copper.
-
Make sure that the supply voltage matches the
voltage of the welding machine.
-
Do not touch the torch simultaneously with the mass
terminal.
-
Connect the TIG welding torch to the Negative
output terminal (1).
-
Connect the TIG torch trigger switch to the
connector (10).
-
Connect the gas hose from the TIG torch to the gas
OUTLET (11) on the front of the power source.
-
Connect the mass cable connector to the Positive
output terminal (2) of the welding machine, and the
clamp to the workpiece as close as possible to the
welding point.
-
Fit the welding grade shielding gas regulator/
flowmeter to the shielding gas cylinder then connect
the shielding gas hose from the regulator/flowmeter
outlet gas INLET (13) on the rear of the power
source.
-
Turn the machine on using the power switch (12).
-
Press the torch trigger and set the gas flow.
-
Use a tungsten electrode suitable for welding
iron and stainless steel, f.e. a 2% cerium-covered
tungsten electrode, with a diameter of Ø 2,4 mm
(3/32").
