5 Maintenance

5.1 Filter exchange

When exchanging the filter, take into account the following guidelines, in addition to
the information contained in the ProfiMaster User Manual:
Filter elements must be exchanged only if both suction arms are completely folded!
The 2-arm ProfiMaster device is equipped with two independent mobile suction arms,
in order to extract welding smoke. When completely unfolded, both suction arms shift
the centre of gravity to the outside.
It may be beneficial in some situations, e.g. when the arm is jerked or pulled with
great force, or when the filtration device is tilted.
Therefore, the filter can only be exchanged, when both suction arms are completely
folded (see fig. 1).
CAUTION
There is a risk of injury, if the 2-arm ProfiMaster device is overturned.
Furthermore, the 2-arm ProfiMaster device can be damaged!
The filtration device can tilt and overturn, if the filter is exchanged
incorrectly, i.e. with unfolded suction arms (see fig. 2)!
