Fault Localisation, Troubleshooting

Upper limit switch not
activated during pump
operation
No compressed air
available
Safety coupling not
engaged
Empty notification limit
switch activated
Pump pressure control
valve out of adjustment
Pump lifter switched off
Leak
Pressure on the
follower piston plate is
too low
Air pressure too low
Corrective action
Use the two-handed control
to lower the pump lifter below
the limit switch position
Adjust limit switch position to
container height
Check compressed air supply
Engage safety air coupling
Use a full container
Set the pressure control valve
to a higher pressure (increase)
Turn the rotary switch to
Lower
Inspect the hoses and fittings
Minor pressure increase on
the pressure control valve,
follower plate lowering
pressure
Have the compressed air
supply checked
Comments
Check pump pressure
gauge (air pressure)
Container empty
Check pump pressure
gauge (air pressure)
Notify plant mechanic
