Special conditions for safe use

3.1 Intrinsically safe sensors marked
1G Ex ia IIC T5/T6 Ga
 Connect the sensor housing to the earth point.
 Connect the shielding of shielded cables to the earth point.
 Avoid subjecting the line to any intensive charging processes.
 Protect the sensor from shock.
 Ensure that, at a current rating I
lowing criterion is met:
 Temperature class T6/T5 at a maximum ambient tempera-
ture of 50 °C / 70 °C (see section 1.3 Electrical specifica-
tion).
 Where the cable passes through a barrier wall, ensure that
the cable gland seals the cable to at least IP 67 acc. to
EN 60529.
When using the sensor in connection with aggressive / corrosive
media:
 Test for material compatibility with the aggressive / corrosive
media.
