Optimizing the volume level control range with different head-
phones:
On the bottom side of your headphone amp you will find three
little slide switches which enable matching the control range of
the volume control to the impedance of your headphone. Consult
the operation manual of your headphone for its impedance value
in ohms and set the range accordingly, e. g. by means of a small
screwdriver or a paper clip. Prior to this please turn off the amp.
Caution: the setting requires a headphone sensitivity of 100-103
dB/mW. With extremely soft headphones (such as HiFiman) you
will need to turn up the volume control higher.
We recommend headphones between 32 and 200 ohms with nor-
mal sensitivity (min. 100 dB/mW). That way you will get an undis-
torted, dynamic sound image and also make sure that the amp
always runs in the acoustically superior class-A operation mode.
