Note
When the scanner is turned on, the
fluorescent lamp on the scanner lights
for a while during self-adjustments of
lighting, etc. Scanning cannot be
performed while the fluorescent lamp
is lit.
To stop and restart prescanning
when the direction of the
prescanned picture is not correct
Press the (Undo) key and repeat

Scanning
With this unit, you can scan a picture and read it into the Picture MD photo
editor (MPS-E500) using the "Read Picture" menu of the editor. Once you
have read the picture into the Picture MD photo editor, you can compose,
print, save, and edit it.
Before scanning
• Connect the Picture MD photo editor (MPS-E500) to the picture MD photo
scanner (MSP-S500), turn it on and insert an MD. (For details, refer to the
POWER
Operating Instructions that comes with the editor.)

• Press the POWER switch on the scanner. The POWER indicator lights in
(right side)
green.
• Prepare the picture to scan.

Press the (Read Picture) key on the editor's

keyboard.
The "Read Picture" menu appears on
the TV screen.
Select "3 Read In From Scanner."
Highlight the target item using the
/
keys and press the OK key.
Set the picture to be scanned on the scanner
with the reverse side facing up.
The following illustrations show the position to set the picture on the
scanner, and the picture displayed on the screen after scanning. Set
the picture to the reference point for easier adjustment.
