6 Lock the head-lock lever, and then close the
cover.
When you need to replace the ribbon, proceed to "Preparations
for Printing" (page 26) and refer to the paper loading method for
the optional unit(s) that you have purchased.
CAUTION
Take care not to get your fingers caught when
closing the open cover.
Removing the Carbon Ribbon
Remove the wound-up carbon ribbon in the direction of the arrow.
CAUTION
• Be sure to remove the wound-up carbon ribbon when the end of each roll of carbon ribbon is reached.
• You may get ink on your hands when you remove the carbon ribbon.
NOTE
Don't dispose of the empty ribbon core after removing it from the Ribbon feed spindle. Instead, transfer it to
the Ribbon Rewind spindle so that used ribbon can be wound around it after a new ribbon roll has been loaded.
