FAULTS FOUND
The pneumatic piston does not
have a to-and-fro movement.
The jack rod does not extend.
The pneumatic piston moves
to-and-fro but the jack rod
does not extend.
The pump operates but the jack rod
extends slowly.
The pump operates the jack rod but does not
hold the pressure (the system is leaking)
The pump causes the jack rod to extend
but the maximum pressure is not reached
(no external leakage is visible).
The pump causes the jack rod to extend
but does not go to maximum pressure with
visible leakage of oil in the air exhaust.
FACOM discharges his liability in case of the modification of initial setting by the user.
TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
PROBABLE CAUSE
Pneumatic piston failure.
- obstruction of the bore by dirt (impurties
or dirt).
- lack of lubrification of the air.
Check priming by having the pump
operate on air. To prime the pump, press
and release the pedal alternately.
a) Check the air inlet pressure (7 bars is
necessary for the correct operation of the
pump).
b) Check that the ball item A moves freely
in its housing.
a) Ball item 6AB does not ensure tightness-
replace or repair.
b) The hydraulic release valve mechanism
does not ensure proper sealing.
It is possible that any of the following are
malfunctioning
- Piston item C,
- Ball item D,
- Valve item E,
- Defective sealing of item F.
Correct or replace.
a) Check the air inlet pressure (7 bars
necessary to attain maximum service pressure).
b) In the event of internal leakage, check:
- the release valve mechanism,
- the setting of discharge valve item 7 which
may be too low.
( Return the pump to the FACOM after sales
service ).
- the ball item A is not rightly positioned on its
seat
Malfunctioning of the piston subassembly.
- replace copper gasket item G (assemble in
the vertical position),
- replace seal item H on the piston rod.
