Operation
► Cable reels and extension cables must only be installed and commissioned by a qualified
electrician.
4.1 Preparatory work
► Unpack the cable reels and extension cables and check for damage.
► In the event of any damage to the cable reels and extension cables, contact the manufac-
turer or a qualified electrician.
4.2 Initial commissioning
► Ensure that supply voltage and max. power data stated on the nameplate are complied
with and not exceeded.
► Ensure that the plugs and sockets are not wet or soiled when plugging the cable reels and
extension cables into the power supply.
4.3 Operation of cable reels
The cable reel has a built-in thermal switch, which switches off the device in case of over-
heating. The thermal switch switches the device off at an internal temperature of 56 °C ±5 °C.
► Leave the equipment to cool for a while.
► Press the thermal switch to activate the equipment again.

Cleaning
Depending on the degree of soiling, the cable reels and extension cables can be cleaned dry or
damp.
