GB S 01 Operating instructions paper towel basket
Connect the lever actuator of the servomotor to the paper towel basket.
Now connect to the mains power supply!
After applying the power supply the system performs a calibration lasting approx. 5 s. The servomotor is
moved into the correct starting position. The calibration can be recognised by the quiet droning of the
servomotor.
Following calibration the sensor system is immediately ready for use. This can be tested by placing a hand
within the sensor range (= area underneath the opening of the paper towel dispenser).
4. Settings:
The HEWI S01 paper towel basket does not usually require any further settings. However, if necessary the
limits of the HF motion detector's range can be steplessly increased or reduced.
To this end, the potentiometer (rotary regulator) under the cover of the HF motion detector can be used to
increase the default setting with a range of approx. 40 cm up to approx. 60 cm (at the limit stop) by turning it
to the right to or to reduce it to approx. 20 cm (at the limit stop) by turning it to the left.
We recommend the default setting (= factory setting). If the range is increased, it is possible for the paper
towel basket to open before a hand is placed within the area of the paper towel dispenser. On the other
hand, reducing the range too much can result in a slow hand movement in the area of the paper towel
dispenser not being sufficient for detection by the motion detector. The paper towel basket therefore does
not open.
