2 Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit
gekennzeichnet.
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefähr-
licher Netzspannung (230 V~) ver-
sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie selbst
Eingriffe am Gerät vor. Durch un-
sachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die
Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur im Innenbereich.
Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser,
hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Ein-
satztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
Die im Gerät entstehende Wärme muss durch
Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Decken Sie
die Lüftungsöffnungen (17) nicht ab.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb bzw. zie-
hen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steck-
dose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur
in eine Fachwerkstatt.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung
aus der Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker
an!
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig an-
geschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht repariert, kann keine Garantie für das Gerät
und keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach-
oder Personenschäden übernommen werden.
2 Safety Notes

Please observe the following items in any case:
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
unit, e. g. a drinking glass.
The heat generated within the unit must be carried
off by air circulation. Therefore, do not cover the
ventilation slots (17).
Do not operate the unit and immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket
1. in case of visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug!
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
water or chemicals.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material
damage will be accepted if the unit is used for
other purposes than originally intended, if it is not
correctly connected, operated, or not repaired in
an expert way.

3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten und Zubehör
Die Aktivbox TXA-655 ist eine Kombination aus
einer 2-Wege-Lautsprecherbox und einem 4-Kanal-
Verstärker mit Anschlüssen für Mikrofone und
Audiogeräte mit Line-Ausgangspegel, wie z. B. CD-
Spieler oder Kassettenrecorder. Durch die zwei inte-
grierten Multifrequenz-Empfangsteile ist auch ein
Betrieb mit zwei Funkmikrofonen möglich. Die Emp-
fangsteile arbeiten mit Diversity-Technik im UHF-
Frequenzbereich 790 – 814 MHz, aufgeteilt in 16 Ka-
näle. Als Funkmikrofone eignen sich z. B. aus dem
Programm von JTS das Handmikrofon MH-850 oder
der Taschensender inkl. Lavaliermikrofon PT-850B.
Das Gerät ist speziell für einen netzunabhängi-
gen Betrieb ausgelegt. Zur Stromversorgung ist ein
Akkumulator integriert, der mit dem internen Lade-
teil aufgeladen werden kann. Dadurch eignet sich
das Gerät ideal für den mobilen Einsatz zur Be-
schallung bei Veranstaltungen, Vorträgen etc.
Über die Durchschleifanschlüsse lässt sich das
Gerät mit weiteren Aktivboxen (z. B. TXA-600 von
MONACOR) zusammenschalten, um einen größe-
ren Bereich beschallen zu können. Es kann aber
auch eine passive 4-Ω-Lautsprecherbox parallel
betrieben werden (z. B. das im Design passende
Modell TXB-600).
4 Aufstellung des Geräts
Die Aktivbox kann frei aufgestellt oder über die
Stativhülse auf der Geräteunterseite auf ein PA-
Boxen-Stativ (z. B. PAST-Serie aus dem Sortiment
von MONACOR) gesteckt werden.

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol

2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

If the unit is to be put out of operation de-
finitively, take it to a local recycling plant for
a disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.
3 Applications and Accessories
The active speaker system TXA-655 is a combina-
tion of a 2-way speaker system and a 4-channel
amplifier with connections for microphones and
audio units with line output level, e. g. CD players or
cassette recorders. Due to the two integrated multi-
frequency receiving parts, it is also possible to op-
erate the unit with two wireless microphones. The
receiving parts operate with diversity technique in
the UHF frequency range of 790 – 814 MHz, divided
into 16 channels. As wireless microphones, e. g. the
hand-held microphone MH-850 or the pocket trans-
mitter incl. Lavalier microphone PT-850B from the
JTS range can be used.

werden. Jedoch dürfen die Lüftungsöffnungen (17)
nicht verdeckt sein. Durch Öffnen der Reißver-
schlüsse sind alle Anschlüsse und Bedienelemente
zugänglich. Die so gelösten Taschenteile können
hochgeklappt und am Klettverschluss fixiert werden.
5 Stromversorgung
Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über den integrierten
Akkumulator, der mit dem internen Ladeteil aufgela-
den wird.
1) Zum Aufladen das beiliegende Netzkabel zuerst
in die Netzbuchse (18) stecken und dann den
Netzstecker in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz).
2) Die Ladekontrolle CHARGE (21) leuchtet:
rot = der Akku wird geladen
grün = der Ladevorgang ist beendet
Während des Ladens kann das Gerät betrieben
werden, jedoch steht nicht die volle Leistung zur
Verfügung, solange die rote LED „< 25 %" (21)
leuchtet. Der Ladevorgang verkürzt sich, wenn
das Gerät mit dem Schalter POWER (20) ausge-
schaltet ist.
3) Ist der Akku voll geladen, leuchtet die Ladekon-
trolle CHARGE grün. Bei maximaler Lautstärke
ist dann eine netzunabhängige Betriebsdauer
von bis zu 8 Stunden möglich. Bei einer geringe-
ren Lautstärke verlängert sich die Betriebsdauer.
4) Der Akku sollte wieder geladen werden, wenn die
rote LED „< 25 %" aufleuchtet.
WICHTIG!
Wenn der Akku voll geladen (Anzeige CHARGE
leuchtet grün) und das Gerät mit dem Schalter
POWER ausgeschaltet ist, den Netzstecker aus
der Steckdose ziehen. Anderenfalls kann der Akku
beschädigt werden.
The unit is specially designed for mains-independ-
ent operation. For power supply, a rechargeable
battery is integrated which can be charged via the
internal charging part. Thus, the unit is ideally suited
for mobile PA applications at events, lectures, etc.
For PA applications of larger zones, the feed-
through connections allow to interconnect the unit
and other active speaker systems (e. g. MONACOR
TXA-600). It is, however, also possible to operate a
passive 4 Ω speaker system in parallel (e. g. model
TXB-600 of matching design).
4 Setting up the Unit
The active speaker system can be placed as desired
or put onto a PA speaker stand (e. g. PAST series
from the MONACOR product range) via the stand
sleeve on the lower side of the unit.
For operation, the unit need not be removed from
the transport bag supplied. However, the ventilation
slots (17) must not be covered. When the zip fasten-
ers are opened, all connections and operating ele-
ments will be accessible. The parts of the bag thus
unfastened can be folded up and fixed to the Velcro
fastener.
5 Power Supply
Power is supplied via the integrated rechargeable bat-
tery which is charged with the internal charging part.
1) For charging, first connect the mains cable sup-
plied to the mains jack (18), then connect the
mains plug to a mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
2) The LED CHARGE (21) will light up:
red = charging of battery
green = charging completed
While charging, the unit may be operated, how-
ever, the full power is not available while the red
LED "< 25 %" (21) lights up. The charging time
will be reduced if the unit is switched off with the
POWER switch (20).
