cleaning the appliance. Use a dry or slightly damp
cotton swab. In the event that the housing is dirty,
do not use alcohol, benzene or thinner to clean
the surface.
29. Remove the cleaning cloth before storage and
store the appliance in a dry indoor area.
30. Do not use on unsealed floors or untreated bricks.
31. Do not use on polished floors, as high
temperatures can damage the floor surface.
32. The power and heat of steam can affect certain
materials. Always carry out a test upon a
concealed place or contact the manufacturer
for maintenance instructions in order to avoid
unnecessary damage to floors, etc. Do not stay in
the same place for an extended period of time, as
this may cause warping and damage to the floor
surface.
33. There may be a slight „spitting" of water mixed
with the vapour.
34. Do not use for heating rooms.
35. Do not place the appliance directly on linoleum/
vinyl.
36. Warning: The hot steam poses a risk of personal
injury.
INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT
• Water may leak during warm-up (20-30 seconds after plugging
in the appliance) if some water has remained in the appliance
from the previous use.
• There may be a pulsating sound during operation, which
indicates that the steam cleaner is producing steam.
• After switching off the appliance, steam and/or „spitting" water
may escape until the appliance has cooled down completely.
Note: This appliance has been tested, and may contain residual
amounts of water inside the tank.
1. Remove the water tank from the packaging. Open the lid and
fill the tank up to the „MAX" fill line. Close the lid again. Place
the water tank under the main unit and turn it to the correct
position according to the Lock & Unlock marks. NOTE: Make
sure that the tank is installed correctly. The black mark must
be positioned at the Lock & Unlock mark!
2. Attach an accessory to the steam outlet as described in the
section „Using Accessories".
3. Plug the device into a power outlet and press the on/off
switch. The red indicator light will light up.
4. Wait for about 20-30 seconds. When the steam cleaner is
ready to emit steam, the indicator light turns green. Press
and hold the steam button to release steam. This can lead
to some droplet formation, which is completely normal.
This is condensation!
Note: If the green indicator light goes out during use, the
appliance will re-heat. It turns on again as soon as the operating
temperature is reached. As long as the steam switch is pressed
and the water tank is filled with water, the appliance will continue
to emit steam regardless of whether the indicator is lit. The RED
light stays on while the appliance is plugged in.
IMPORTANT! Do not touch the nozzle or other attachments
during use, as they may become hot.
5. Slowly guide over the surface to be cleaned.
6. To stop the steam release, release the steam button.
IMPORTANT: After turning off the steam switch, the steam
will continue to flow for a short period of time (around 10 - 15
seconds) until all the steam is released from the system.
7. If the appliance stops emitting steam, the water tank must be
refilled. Release the steam switch and pull the plug out of the
socket. Fill the water tank with water as described in step 1
and follow steps 3-6 above.
Using the safety lock:
There are two ways to use this:
1. To prevent the steam button from being accidentally pressed,
slide the safety lock to the closed position.
2. To continuously generate steam, press the safety latch to the
closed position while holding down the steam button. Now
you can take your thumb off the steam button and it will
continue to emit steam. Press the steam button again or slide
the safety lock to deactivate it and stop steam being emitted.
Using Accessories:
Fitting the floor accessories:
1. Install the 3 extension rods by inserting one end into the
opening of the next extension rod and the last extension rod
into the bottom attachment (ill. 4).
TIP: You can also use the appliance with just 1 or 2 extension
tubes.
2. Attach the extension rod to the steam outlet of the main unit
3. Attach the desired cleaning cloth to the floor attachment by
clamping it on the underside.
4. When using the H2O SteamFX™ Pro on carpets or rugs, place
the floor attachment with the microfibre cloth on the carpet
slider as shown (ill. 11) . Do not attempt to use the H2O
SteamFX™ Pro on carpets or rugs without carpet glider. Only
use the microfibre cloth on carpets. Never use the carpet
glider on scratch sensitive surfaces.
5. When you have finished cleaning, remove the microfibre cloth
from the floor nozzle and wash if necessary.
