Sicherheitsbestimmungen
• Das Gerät darf nur von Personen instal-
liert und in Betrieb genommen werden,
die mit dieser Betriebsanleitung und den
geltenden Vorschriften über Arbeits-
sicherheit und Unfallverhütung vertraut
sind. Beachten Sie die VDE- sowie die
örtlichen Vorschriften, insbesondere hin-
sichtlich Schutzmaßnahmen.
• Halten Sie beim Transport, bei der Lage-
rung und im Betrieb die Bedingungen
nach EN 60068-2-6 ein (s. technische
Daten).
• Durch Öffnen des Gehäuses oder eigen-
mächtige Umbauten erlischt jegliche Ge-
währleistung.
• Montieren Sie das Gerät in einen Schalt-
schrank; Staub und Feuchtigkeit können
sonst zu Beeinträchtigungen der Funktio-
nen führen.
• Sorgen Sie an allen Ausgangskontakten
bei kapazitiven und induktiven Lasten für
eine ausreichende Schutzbeschaltung.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das anzugsverzögerte Zeitrelais PZA 3/30/
300/600 dient als Zeitverzögerungseinrich-
tung
• nach EN 1088 (Entsperrung mit Verzöge-
rung durch Zeiteinheit)
• in Sicherheitsstromkreisen nach VDE
0113-1 und EN 60204-1
(z. B. bei beweglichen Verdeckungen)
Das Gerät ist bestimmt für den Einsatz mit
• Sicherheitsschaltgeräten der Reihe PNOZ
• Schutztürwächtern der Reihe PST.
Die zu realisierende Kategorie nach
EN 954-1 ist abhängig von der Kategorie
des Grundgeräts. Sie kann vom PZA nicht
überschritten werden.
Gerätebeschreibung
Das anzugsverzögerte Zeitrelais ist in einem
P-97-Gehäuse untergebracht. Es stehen
verschiedene Varianten für den Betrieb mit
Wechselspannung und eine Variante für
den Betrieb mit Gleichspannung zur Verfü-
gung.
Merkmale:
• Relaisausgänge: ein Sicherheitskontakt
(Schließer), 2 Hilfskontakte (Öffner),
zwangsgeführt
• Statusanzeige
• 12 Zeitwerte durch Drehschalter einstellbar
• Rückführkreis zur Überwachung externer
Schütze
Das Schaltgerät erfüllt folgende Sicherheits-
anforderungen:
• Schaltung ist redundant mit Selbstüber-
wachung aufgebaut.
• Sicherheitseinrichtung bleibt auch bei
Ausfall eines Bauteils wirksam.
Safety Regulations
• The unit may only be installed and
operated by personnel who are familiar
with both these instructions and the
current regulations for safety at work and
accident prevention. Follow CEN and
local regulations especially as regards
preventative measures.
• Transport, storage and operating
conditions should all conform to
EN 60068-2-6.
• Any guarantee is void following opening
of the housing or unauthorised
modifications.
• The unit should be panel mounted,
otherwise moisture or dust could lead to
function impairment.
• Adequate protection and suppression
must be provided on all output contacts
with capacitive and inductive loads.
Authorised Applications
The Timer Relay PZA 3/30/300/600 is a
delay-on energisation unit for use in:
• Applications according to EN 1088
(Delayed unlocking with a timer device)
• Safety Circuits according to VDE 0113-1
and EN 60204-1 (e.g. with movable
guards).
The unit is designed to be used with:
• Safety Relays from the PNOZ range
• Safety Gate Monitors from the PST range
The category that can be achieved in
accordance with EN 954-1 depends on the
category of the base unit. The PZA may not
exceed this.
Description
The Delay-on Energisation Timer Relay is
enclosed in a P-97 housing. There are diffe-
rent versions available for AC operation and
one for DC operation.
Features:
• Relay outputs: one safety contact (N/O),
two auxiliary contacts (N/C) positive-
guided.
• Status Indicator
• 12 time delay options set via a rotary
switch
• Feedback Control Loop for monitoring of
external contactors/relays.
The relay complies with the following safety
requirements:
• The circuit is redundant with built-in self-
monitoring.
• The safety function remains effective in
the case of a component failure.

Conseils préliminaires
• La mise en oeuvre de l'appareil doit être
effectuée par une personne spécialisée
en installations électriques, en tenant
compte des prescriptions des différentes
normes applicables (NF, EN, VDE..),
notamment au niveau des risques
encourus en cas de défaillance de
l'équipement électrique.
• Respecter les exigences de la norme
EN 60068-2-6 lors du transport, du
stockage et de l'utilisation de l'appareil.
• Toutes interventions sur le boîtier
(ouverture du relais, échange ou modifi-
cation de composants, soudure etc..)
faites par l'utilisateur annulent la garantie.
• Montez l'appareil dans une armoire
électrique à l'abri de l'humidité et de la
poussière.
• Assurez-vous du pouvoir de coupure des
contacts de sortie en cas de charges
inductives ou capacitives.
Domaines d'utilisation
Le bloc temporisé à l'appel PZA 3/30/300/
600 est spécialement conçu pour :
• le pilotage temporisé de système
d'interverrouillage d'après EN 1088
• les circuits de sécurité d'après la norme
EN 60204-1 (par ex. protecteur)
Le bloc temporisé peut être utilisé avec :
• un bloc logique d'arrêt d'urgence PNOZ
• un bloc de surveillance de protecteurs
PST.
La catégorie à atteindre conformément à la
norme EN 954-1 dépend de la catégorie de
l'appareil de base. Elle ne peut pas être
dépassée par le PZA.
Description de l'appareil
Inséré dans un boîtier P-97, le bloc
temporisé à l'appel est disponible en
différentes variantes pour les tensions alter-
natives et une variante pour les tensions
continues (24 VDC).

surveillance
• fonction de sécurité garantie même en
cas de défaillance d'un composant
électronique.
