Turning off

1. Close side valves slowly.
3. Relieve first side valve by 3
turns.
5. Relieve second side valve by 3
turns.
If drainage does not occur, the water supply operator is to be
informed immediately.
2. Close main valve, remove
water meter and install cover.
4. With one hand, pull up the
bleeder valve (Pos. 38). Wait
until no water comes out of the
hole any more. With a finger of
the other hand, cover the hole
for 3 — 5 seconds then slowly
let it go air should be sucked
in: Only in this way can you
be sure that the fire-hydrant is
emptied and no frost damage
can occur in winter.
6. Close the cover.
