Do not overreach. Keep proper footing, balance
and hand control of the unit at all times.
Never cut above waist level.
Never stand on a ladder while running the
brushcutter.
Never climb up into trees to perform any cutting
operation with the brushcutter.
Never work on unstable surfaces or steep terrain.
Remove all objects such as stones, nails, broken
glass, wire, etc. found within the working areas.
Foreign articles may damage the cutting tool, can
cause dangerous kickbacks, or could be thrown
about dangerously.
Before starting cutting the cutting tool must have
reached full working speed.
Never operate this tool while it is turned upside-
down or when it is at an extreme angle.
The cutter area is still dangerous while the
machine is coasting to a stop.
When operating the brushcutter, uncontrolled
kickback can occur.
Never touch the blade to solid objects, such as
bushes, stumps, trees etc., with a diameter greater
than 3 cm as the brushcutter will be deflected at
great force and speed with the potential risk of
serious injuries.
Smooth and easy cutting with almost no kickback is
possible using the blade segment between 8 and
11 o'clock.
GASOLINE GRASS TRIMMER
Kickout is the sudden and uncontrolled motion
towards the operator's right or rear that can occur
when the shaded area of a rotating blade comes in
contact with a solid rigid object like a tree, rock,
bush or wall. The rapid counter clockwise rotation
of the blade may be stopped or slowed, and the
cutting attachment may be thrown to the right or
to the rear. This kickout may cause loss of control of
the power tool and may result in serious or fatal
injury to the operator or by standers. To reduce
the risk of injury, extreme caution should be used
when cutting with the shaded area of any rigid
blade.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before performing any work on the brushcutter,
always switch off the motor and pull the spark plug
connectors off the spark plug. Beware of hot
engine parts and sharp blade edges.
Always wear protective gloves!
