Zum Dämpfen dieser Frequenzen besitzt jeder
Kanal ein Hochpaßfilter (Low Cut). Der Verstärker
CH
sollte bevorzugt mit eingeschalteten Filtern betrie-
ben werden. Dazu den Schalter LOW CUT (17) in
die Position ON schieben. In der Position OFF
sind die Filter abgeschaltet.
6.2 Ein /-Ausschalten
Zur Vermeidung von lauten Schaltgeräuschen den
Verstärker in einer Audio-Anlage immer nach allen
anderen Geräten einschalten und ihn nach dem
Betrieb als erstes Gerät wieder ausschalten. Nach
dem Einschalten leuchtet für ca. 3 Sekunden die
LED PROTECT (4). In dieser Zeit ist die Einschalt-
verzögerung zum Schutz der Lautsprecher aktiviert.
Als Betriebsanzeige leuchtet die LED POWER
ON (5) und je nach gewähltem Betriebsmodus [mit
den Schaltern (18) und (19)] die grünen LEDs (1)
STEREO oder BRIDGED und eventuell SUB-
WOOFER.
6.3 Pegel einstellen
Bei Brückenbetrieb den rechten Regler RIGHT (3)
ganz nach links auf Null drehen, und nur mit dem lin-
ken Regler LEFT (2) die Lautstärke einstellen. Den
linken Regler bzw. bei Stereobetrieb beide Regler
nur so weit wie notwendig aufdrehen, bis die maxi-
mal gewünschte Lautstärke erreicht ist. Die roten
LEDs CLIP LEFT und CLIP RIGHT (4) zeigen Über-
steuerungen des Verstärkers an. Die Regler dann
etwas zurückdrehen.
6.4 Groundlift-Schalter
Ist beim Geräteaufbau eine Masseschleife entstan-
den (z. B. vom Verstärkergehäuse über das Rack zu
einem anderen Gerätegehäuse), tritt ein Brummen
auf (z. B. bei leisen Musikpassagen). Diese Masse-
schleife läßt sich mit dem Groundlift-Schalter (14)
unterbrechen. Dazu den Schalter in die Position LIFT
schieben. Das Brummen sollte aufhören.
Anderseits ist der Verstärker nicht gegen elektri-
sche Störfelder abgeschirmt, wenn das Gehäuse

Move the LOW CUT switch (17) to position ON. If
the switch is in position OFF, the filters are cut off.
6.2 Switching on/off
To avoid loud switching noise, always switch on the
amplifier in an audio system as soon as all other units
have been switched on and switch it off as the first
unit after operation. The PROTECT LED (4) lights for
approx. 3 seconds after switching on. During this
time the switch-on delay is activated to protect the
speakers.
The POWER ON LED (5) and, according to the
selected operating mode [by means of the selector
switches (18) and (19)], the green STEREO or
BRIDGED LEDs (1) and possibly the SUBWOOFER
LED light.
6.3 Adjusting the level
In bridge operation turn the RIGHT control (3) fully
counterclockwise to zero and adjust the volume by
means of the LEFT control (2) only. Turn the left con-
trol or, in stereo operation both controls only as far as
possible until the max. desired volume is reached.
The red CLIP LEFT and CLIP RIGHT LEDs (4) dis-
play overloads of the amplifier. Then slightly turn
back the controls.
6.4 Groundlift switch
If the installation of the amplifier has caused a ground
loop (e. g. from the amplifier's housing via the rack to
another unit housing), a humming is generated (e. g.
in soft pieces of music). This ground loop can be
interrupted by means of the groundlift switch (14).
Move the switch to position LIFT. Then humming
should stop.
On the other hand, the amplifier is not shielded
against electrical noise fields if the housing is not
connected to ground. In this case move the groundlift
switch to position GND. In case of doubt turn the
switch alternately to get an optimum adjustment.

6.5 Phasenlage bei Subwoofer-Betrieb ein-
stellen
Im Subwoofer-Betrieb muß eventuell die Phasenlage
des Verstärkers korrigiert werden. Den Schalter
PHASE (12) wechselweise schalten, um den optima-
len Klang zu erhalten.
7 Schutzschaltung
Die Schutzschaltung verhindert Beschädigungen der
Lautsprecher und des Verstärkers. Ist sie aktiviert,
sind die Lautsprecher elektrisch vom Verstärker
getrennt, und die rote LED PROTECT (4) leuchtet:
1. ca. 3 Sekunden lang nach dem Einschalten (Ein-
schaltverzögerung)
2. wenn an einem Lautsprecherausgang (20 oder
21) ein Kurzschluß aufgetreten ist
3. wenn an einem Lautsprecherausgang eine
Gleichspannung anliegt
4. wenn beide Kanäle überhitzt sind (LED OVER-
HEAT leuchtet zusätzlich)
Leuchtet die rote LED PROTECT während des Be-
triebs auf oder erlischt sie nicht nach dem Einschal-
ten, muß der Verstärker ausgeschaltet und die Feh-
lerursache behoben werden.
Bei einer Überhitzung den Verstärker ausschalten
und ihn abkühlen lassen.
Hinweis: Ist nur ein Kanal überhitzt, leuchtet nur die
LED OVERHEAT und nicht zusätzlich die LED PRO-
TECT. Der andere Kanal arbeitet weiterhin.
Zum weiteren Betrieb muß die Ausgangsleistung
reduziert [Regler LEFT (2) und/oder RIGHT (3)
zurückdrehen] oder der Verstärker besser belüftet
werden (z. B. Lüftereinheit LU-100 von „img Stage
Line" in das Rack einsetzen).
6.5 Adjusting phase condition in subwoofer
operating mode
The phase condition in subwoofer operating mode
probably has to be corrected. Turn the PHASE switch
(12) alternately to get an optimum sound.
7 Protective Circuit
The protective circuit prevents the speakers and the
amplifier from being damaged. If activated, the
speakers are electrically separated from the amplifier
and the red PROTECT LED (4) lights:
1. for approx. 3 seconds after switching on
(switching-on delay)
2. in case of a short-circuit at a speaker output (20 or
21)
3. in case of a DC voltage at a speaker output
4. in case of overheating of both channels (in addi-
tion LED OVERHEAT lights)
If the red PROTECT LED lights during operation or if
it does not stop lighting after switching on, the ampli-
fier has to be switched off and the cause of the fault
has to be removed.
Switch off the amplifier in case of an overheat and let
it cool down.
Note: If only one channel is overheated, the
OVERHEAT LED lights. The PROTECT LED does
not light additionally. The other channel operates fur-
ther on.
For further operation the output power has to be
reduced [turn back LEFT (2) and/or RIGHT (3) con-
trol] or the amplifier has to be better ventilated
(mount e. g. ventilating unit LU-100 by "img Stage
Line" into the rack).
