INPUT CHANNEL CONTROLS AND CONNECTORS

Microphone Input
Microphones with a low output impedance or any other low impedance signal
sources with low output levels can be connected to the 3 pole XLR-jacks.
The microphone inputs are balanced.
A phantom supply (+48V) is provided for all input channels and can be activated
with a central switch on the front panel of the supply unit.
Attention : Do not connect unbalanced microphones to the phantom supply
voltage, because they might be damaged.
With balanced dynamic microphones there normally are no problems,
if they are connected to phantom powered inputs.

Send-Return Jack INSERT
Behind the preamp of each input channel a send-return jack (6.3 mm stereo) is
provided for inserting effect units, limiters and similar devices.
The jack is used for both, send- and return-signal. For this purpose a special Y-
cable is required as shown below.

LINE-Input Jack
The LINE-input preamps of all channels are balanced and have a high input
impedance.
Unbalanced operation is possible as well without any problem.
The wiring of the LINE-input cables is shown below.
