Installation
1 Connect the Fence earth terminal to a separate earth sys-
tem that is at least 10 m away from other earth systems.
2 Connect the Fence output terminal to the fence.

Mounting the energiser
The energiser can be mounted directly on a wall using the
mounting slot in the rear of the housing. Use two 75 mm
screws and two washers. Thread
the washers onto the screws.
Space the screws 75 mm apart.
Drive in the screws, allowing
them to protrude by 10 mm.
Slide the energizer onto the
screws with the washers inside
the mounting slot.

Operation

1 Plug the energiser into the mains/line power supply.
2 The indicator light flashes each time the energiser pulses.

Installing and testing a earth system
Select a suitable site for the earth system. Sites need to be at least
10 m from other earth systems (e.g. telephone, mains/line power
or the earth system of another energiser). Drive 1 m earth stakes
into the soil. The table below specifies the minimum number of 1 m
earth stakes recommended for a ground system:

Safety considerations

Warning!
- Switch the energiser off before installation or perform-
ing any work on the fence.
- Read all the safety considerations carefully.
- Check your installation to ensure that it complies with
all local safety regulations.
- The energiser must be located in a shelter, and the
cable must not be handled when the temperature is
below 5 °C.
- Do not connect simultaneously to a fence and to
any other device such as a cattle trainer or a poultry
trainer. Otherwise, lightning striking your fence will be
conducted to all other devices.
