INSTALLATION

Wall Mounted Filtration Unit only – ensure wall mounting brackets are securely attached to the filter unit. Secure filter
unit complete with inlet and outlet fittings to wall. See Fig 1.
Wall and Floor Mounted Units: Inlet and outlet couplings must be fitted prior to initial use. They should be fitted
ensuring an airtight seal. Refer to the arrows on the filter stage for direction of air flow. Broomwade, Rectus and CEJN
couplings, obtained from 3M, should be fitted to the unit using 3/8" male connector pack supplied. Connect the filter
unit to the air supply and connect the compressed air supply tube.
Pressure gauge must be fitted ensuring an airtight seal.
The optional anti-tamper lockout kit can be fitted according to Fig 2.

PREPARATION FOR USE

Check apparatus is complete, undamaged and correctly assembled. Any damaged or defective parts must be replaced
before use. Check the compressed air supply tubes for damage and that the connections are tight. Check that the filter
bowls are securely fitted into the manifold and that they are clean and free of collected liquids. Drain the bowls if
necessary. Check that there is no trace of odour in the filtered air. If odour is present, change the stage 3 filter element
(see Maintenance section). Carry out an air flow check as described in the User Instructions for the specific device being
supplied with filtered air. It may be necessary to adjust the regulator on stage 1 of the Aircare Unit. If the differential
pressure indicator on the top of stage 2 indicates red or the required air flow can not be achieved, replace the stage 2
filter element (see Maintenance section).
IN USE
Turn on air supply to unit and regulate pressure to desired level using the regulator on stage 1.
Leave the contaminated area immediately if:
a) Any part of the system becomes damaged.
b) Airflow into the headtop decreases or stops.
c) Breathing becomes difficult.
d) Dizziness or other distress occurs.
e) You taste or smell contaminants or an irritation occurs.
After use, turn regulator on stage 1 fully anti-clockwise to relieve pressure in the Aircare Unit.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Use a clean cloth dampened with a mild solution of water and liquid household soap to wipe clean all external surfaces
of the filter unit.
Do not use petrol, chlorinated degreasing fluids (such as trichloroethylene), organic solvents or abrasive cleaning agents
to clean any part of the filter unit.
To disinfect use wipes (3M 105).

MAINTENANCE

Maintenance, servicing and repair must only be carried out by properly trained personnel.
Use of unapproved parts or unauthorised modification could result in danger to life or health and can invalidate any
warranty.
If disposal of parts is required this should be undertaken in accordance with local health and safety, and environmental
regulations.
Replacement of filter elements:
Open/close the retaining clip as shown in Fig 3 and remove filter stage if necessary.
Remove bowl/filter element assembly as shown in Fig 4.
Remove old element and replace. See Fig 5.
Draining of filters:
Stages 1 and 2 are fitted with semi-automatic drains which will expel any liquid when the unit is depressurised. Stage 3
is fitted with a manual drain. If any liquid should collect in this stage it can be drained by unscrewing the drain briefly.
