Cleaning

Cleaning the device

– The inside of the unit may not be cleaned as compo-
nents may be damaged.
– If desired, the outside of the unit can be wiped with a
damp cloth (where necessary with a mild cleaning
agent). Wipe dry afterwards!
– The unit is not watertight. It must not be cleaned with a
low-pressure or a high-pressure cleaner.
Cleaning the lamps
The lamps only have to be cleaned when dirt has been
applied when inserting or they have been mistakenly
touched by bare hands! Regular cleaning is not neces-
sary.
The lamps are highly sensitive against finger sweat and
alkaline cleaning agents!
– Wear clean and soft gloves (cotton or non-powdered
Latex) to prevent applying new dirt. Only use soft and
clean cotton cloths.
– Clean with clear water (a little washing-up liquid when
necessary).
– Run dry afterwards.
Cleaning the filter
(see also page 20)
The cleaning intervals are highly dependent on the oper-
ating conditions.
– Check the filter on the inside and outside as well as the
protective grille behind the filters for visible soiling on a
regular basis.
Dry cleaning of the filter and protective grille: Vacuum
cleaner (depending on the degree of soiling).
Moist cleaning (filter only!): water and detergent, also a
dishwasher.

Maintenance

Maintenance must be carried out after 9000 hours or
1 year.
The next service due date is on the maintenance sticker
and is entered in the service booklet. Please make an ap-
pointment in plenty of time with customer services (see
page 2). The maintenance is carried out by replacing the
reflector and lamps on-location.
