Information on preparing the workpiece and areas to be glued
- Test each application on surplus material before using the device and thus check the desired
effect. This will help you avoid damaging the workpiece.
- If necessary, secure the workpiece against unintentional slipping.
- The areas to be glued must be clean, dry and free of grease.
- Do not use any flammable solvents to clean the areas to be glued.
- The ambient temperature and the materials being glued must not be colder than +5°C and not
hotter than +50°C. Those materials (e.g. steel) that cool down quickly should be warmed up a
little to achieve a better bond.
- Roughen smooth surfaces before gluing them.
Mounting the stand
Before using the device for the first time, mount the stand ⑥ by lightly pushing it apart and fitting it
into the stand supports ⑦ on both sides of the device.
Using for the first time
1. Tilt the stand ⑥ forwards and remove the device head-first from the stand ⑥ onto an even
surface.
2. Connect the mains plug ④ to a suitable and easily accessible socket. Ensure that the power
supply is suitable. The operating light ③ lights up and the device heats up.
3. Push a hot glue stick ⑧ into the insertion opening ②. Pull the trigger feed ⑤ a number of
times until the hot glue stick ⑧ is pulled completely into the device.
4. Allow the device to heat up for approx. 5-7 minutes. The device is then ready for use.
Gluing & switching off the device
1. Pull the trigger feed ⑤ to regulate the flow of hot glue to your requirements.
2. Apply the hot glue in small droplets. In the case of flexible materials e.g. textiles, apply the hot
glue in zigzag lines.
3. Once the hot glue has been applied, immediately push the two workpieces together for approx.
30 seconds. The area being glued will have achieved a secure bond after approx. 5 minutes.
4. If the hot glue stick ⑧ is no longer visible in the viewing window ①, push another
hot glue stick ⑧ into the insertion opening ②.
5. Store the device on the stand ⑥ during breaks in your work and also when allowing the device
to cool down.
6. Disconnect the mains plug ④ from the mains socket after finishing your work and allow the
device to cool down for at least 30 minutes.

ATTENTION! RISK OF INJURY!
Always disconnect the mains plug from the socket and
allow the device to cool down before carrying out any
work on the device.
CAUTION! Never use alcohol, acetone, benzene or any
other aggressive cleaning products to clean the plastic
components. Do not use hard brushes or metal objects.
