TRIEBNAHME UND ENTSORGUNG
Beim Transport des Gerätes sind
folgende Punkte zu beachten:
• Gerät nicht stürzen oder werfen, immer
vorsichtig absetzen.
• Geeignete Transportmittel verwenden.
Diese richten sich nach den örtlichen
Gegebenheiten.
Bei der Lagerung oder der
vorübergehenden Außerbetriebnahme
des Gerätes sind folgende Punkte zu
beachten:
• Das Gerät an einem sauberen, trockenen
und möglichst frostfreien Ort lagern.
• Das Gerät vor Verschmutzung, Feuchtigkeit
und Schäden durch eine geeignete Ab-
deckung schützen.
• Soll das Gerät nach der Außerbetriebnahme
wieder zum Einsatz kommen, ist es zuvor
einer erneuten Prüfung durch eine befähigte
Person zu unterziehen.

have been built in accordance with the state-
of-the-art and generally accepted engineering
standards. Nonetheless, incorrect handling
when using the products may cause dangers
to life and limb of the user or third parties
and/or damage to the hoist or other property.
The operating company is responsible for
the proper and professional instruction of
the operating personnel. For this purpose, all

safe and trouble-free operation of the product.

CORRECT OPERATION

- The load lifting attachment is used for
safely transporting long, bulky and heavy
loads which for reasons of a better weight
distribution or reduction of defl ection must
be attached at several points.
•The standard spreader beam (Fig. 3) is
only suitable for transporting loads which
can be attached in such a way that their
centre of gravity is directly below the sus-
pension eye in perpendicular direction. The
standard spreader beam cannot be adapted
to different lengths of the loads.
If the centre of gravity is not below the sus-
pension eye, an impermissible inclination of
the spreader beam results (Fig. 2).
EN
•The standard spreader beam with
adjustable range (Fig. 4) can be adapted
to the length of the load in the longitudinal
direction. It is therefore also suitable for
transporting loads which can only be at-
tached in such a way that their centre of
gravity in the longitudinal direction of the
spreader beam is not directly below the
suspension eye in perpendicular direction.
The resulting inclination of the spreader
beam (Fig. 2) can be compensated within
the adjustable range.
•The spreader beam with side hooks
(Fig. 5) is suitable for transporting large loads
which can be attached in such a way that
their centre of gravity is below the suspen-
sion eye in perpendicular direction. It can,
however, not be adapted to different sizes of
the load. If the centre of gravity is not below
the suspension eye, an impermissible incli-
nation of the spreader beam results (Fig. 2).
When attaching the load it is essential to
ensure that at least three attachment points
of the spreader beam are evenly loaded.
•The spreader beam with side hooks and
adjustable range (Fig. 6) is suitable for
transporting large loads and can be adapted
to the load in the longitudinal and transverse
direction. It is therefore also suitable for
loads which can only be attached in such
a way that their centre of gravity in the
longitudinal and transverse direction is not
below the suspension eye in perpendicular
direction. The resulting inclination of the
spreader beam (Fig. 2) can be compensated
within the adjustable ranges of longitudinal
and transverse beams.
When attaching the load it is essential to
ensure that at least three attachment points
of the spreader beam are evenly loaded.
- Any diff erent or exceeding use is con-
sidered incorrect. Columbus McKinnon
Industrial Products GmbH will not accept
any liability for damage resulting from
such use. The risk is borne by the user
or operating company alone.
- The load capacity indicated on the unit is the
maximum working load limit (WLL) that may
be attached. The deadweight of all means
of attachment (chains, ropes, belts, slings,
etc.) must be calculated in addition to the
weight of the load to be transported. The
load capacity of the crane used must never
be exceeded together with the deadweight
of the spreader beam (Tab. 1 and 2).
- Only one load or a safely combined unit of
loads may be transported at a time.
- For moving hooks fi xed to spreader beams
without adjusting possibility in the longi-
tudinal direction, the max. permissible
