• Switch on the external HDD with the On/Off switch (4). The LEDs in the front cover will light
up. The disk speeds up and when all drivers are correctly present on the PC, the external HDD
will be recognized by the operating system and ready for use.
• Disk activity will be indicated by flashing LEDs in the front cover.

• To enable the One Touch Backup option, the backup software must be configured.
Note that this function is NOT supported for MAC.
• Insert the included CD into the CD-drive. Go to directory 'USB to IDE' – 'SOFT' – open the file
'HDBackup_Setup.exe'. The installation of the backup software will start automatically:

Wait until the installation bar reaches 100%

Exit all Windows programs and click on 'Next >'.
Define the location where the software must be
installed. If the default is acceptable, just click 'Next
>'. If a different location is preferred, click 'Browse
...', choose the new location and then click 'Next >'.
