2. ADDITION OF SALT

Salt has to be added to your pool in the proportion of 50-60 Kg of salt
for every 10 m
order to facilitate dissolution. As salt is heavier than water, it will lie at the
bottom even though it will seem to have dissolved. In order to ensure adequate
distribution it is a good idea to sweep the bottom of the pool and keep the water
filter operating for 24 hours. All of this must be done before the chlorinator
is switched on.
Contrary to what you might think, "Natural Chlor" chlorinator will not use
uo the salt as it produces chlorine. What happens is that the salt is electrolyzed
and converted back into ordinary salt once your pool has been disinfected.
Nonetheless, the use of a filter and its subsequent cleaning showers will reduce
the level of salt in the water and whenever the water level in the pool is
increased, the salt concentration will be reduced.

While salt is being added to your pool, your "Natural Chlor" chlorinator
must be switched off until all of the salt is completely dissolved and
distributed throughout the pool water in order to prevent costly damage to the
electrodes and your chlorinator.
