Drive controller
If the UCR520 is used as a drive controller, the drive is connected directly to
the device. External signals are converted into control commands. The coding
switch 2 must be in the lower position.
Group controller
If the UCR520 is used as a group controller, other group controllers/drive con-
trollers can be controlled. This control can relay external switching signals.
This function can be used to connect groups and carry out joint switching com-
mands. The coding switch 2 must be in the upper position.
Roller shutter or venetian blind
Encoding Switch 3 is used to select roller shutter mode (lower position) or vene-
tian blind mode (upper position). When the venetian blind mode is selected,
the venetian blind moves in nonmaintained command mode in order to allow
for the blind slats to be positioned precisely. If a control command button is
held pressed for more than 1 second, the venetian blind will move in maintained
command mode.
