EASY CONNECT configuration
| The configuration of a Merten EASY CONNECT
radio system described in the following applies if
you want to connect up to five devices, where all
the devices are in direct reception range of one
another.
Bear in mind that walls or furniture can
sometimes significantly limit the range of a radio
signal.
If you have multiple devices or larger distances,
or want to use enhanced device functions or you
want to configure a system across various rooms
you will need a Merten configuration tool . For
more information about this, consult your
installer or go to www.merten.com.

• Practice triple clicking with a push-button.
If the LED does not start to flash immediately after
you triple-click, you must change the click speed.
Programming
You can create a connection between two devices by
programming the devices with the push-button
designated for system administration .

Requirements:
• Install all receivers in their final installation locations
and connect them.
• Connect a corresponding load to the receivers (some
receivers use the connected devices to confirm
commands during the programming procedure).
• There must be at least one radio push-button in each
CONNECT radio system. This manages the system
administration during configuration.
All other devices are programmed with this push-
button designated for system administration.
With new systems the push-button, which is used
first to programme a receiver, manages the system
administration.

1 Move the push-button that has or is to manage the
system administration into the immediate vicinity of
the device to be programmed. The programming
confirmation can be observed straight away via the
LEDs and/or the connected load of the devices.
2 Click three times on the lower operating surface of
the push-button that manages or is to manage the
system administration. The LED on the push-button
starts to flash briefly and then lights up continuously
for approximately 30 seconds. You can program the
other device in this period. (Note that the
programming is successful only when the LED lights
up continuously.
3 Then triple click the operating surface or the
programming key of the device to be programmed. .
Example (see figure !): Programming a radio plug
adapter with a radio push-button (which also manages
the system administration):

• You must be able to set the devices to learning
mode!
Learning mode is activated with a triple click: Press
the operating surface/programming button or sensor
surface (depending on the device) three times in a
row.
The rate at which you have to tap the operating
surface or programming button three times to access
the programming process is approximately the same
as that for a double-click (or triple-click) on a PC
mouse (three times in approx. 1.5 seconds).
