Preparation of Merten-specific functions
With the Merten Distance 5010 radio
remote control you can control any Merten
radio system receivers as well as the
ARGUS movement detector with radio
module - i.e. switch on, switch off, change-
over and call scenarios.

In order for the radio remote control to
function to your complete satisfaction from
the beginning, you first need to program
the radio receivers.
The programming of the radio receivers is
product-specific. Please therefore also read
the operating instructions enclosed with
the radio receivers.
Programming the radio receivers for the
radio remote control:
G Set the coding switch on the selected
radio receiver to "Program".
G Press your chosen button on the radio
remote control, e.g. button 1 green / 0.
G Red LED lights up briefly.
G Programming of the pushbutton for the
radio receiver is complete.
G For confirmation the user will briefly
switch on the radio receiver.

G After programming of the radio receiver
has been completed, turn the coding
switch back to "normal mode (automa
tic)".
You can allocate the 15 available buttons on
the radio remote control individually. We
suggest the following allocation:
All the radio receivers programmed for the
radio remote control:
On Switch on
Off Switch off
Individual radio receivers programmed for
the radio remote control:
0 (1-5): Switch off or changeover
I (1-5): Switch on or changeover
Scene activate any number of radio
1 to 3: receivers (scene group).
Activation calls previously pro
grammed functions, e.g. switching
on or the brightness settings of
dimmed lights.
Changing the brightness settings of
dimmed lights:
G Switch on the light scene with the radio
remote control
G Manually change the brightness settings
of the dimmed light
G Press and hold down the relevant button
on the radio remote control for at least
5 seconds.
G New brightness settings for the light
scene are now stored under the relevant
button of the radio remote control.
With one push of a button you can control
one or several radio receivers within a
radius of 100 m in free field or 30 m in a
building.
