Distance 5010 Radio Remote Control
The Merten Distance 5010 radio remote
control (Art. No. 5907 22) is part of the
range of Merten devices that make up the
Merten radio system. The Distance 5010
radio remote control is used for the remote
control of all receivers of the Merten radio
system as well as the ARGUS 220 Connect
(Art. No. 5654 ..) and ARGUS 220 Timer
(Art. No. 5656 ..) movement detectors fitted
with a radio module (Art. No. 5654 90).

Inserting and replacing the batteries

The radio remote control is powered by two
Alkali batteries (Type LR03 AAA). We
recommend the use of leakproof batteries.
The batteries need to be replaced if the red
LED no longer lights up when a button is
pressed or if the functions are no longer
carried out reliably. The battery life is typi-
cally 18 months, but they should be repla-
ced after 24 months at the latest.
Open the battery compartment on the back
of the remote control.

Please read through all of these instructions
before using the Merten Distance 5010 radio
remote control (Art. No. 5907 22).
After the batteries have been replaced, the
radio remote control is ready for use again
straight away. The function settings are pre-
served.
Please dispose of used batteries in accor-
dance with the legal regulations.
Advice on cleaning:
Please only use dry cloths to clean the
device. Wet cloths or cloths soaked in
detergents can destroy the device.
Troubleshooting:
LED does not light up when a button is
pressed.
Are the batteries correctly inserted?
Have the batteries gone flat?
Do the batteries have a secure contact?
LED lights up, but function is not carried
out.
Did you press the right button?
Are radio receivers in normal mode?
Are radio receivers plugged in?
Have radio receivers been
programmed?
