Setting Flame Height

Any desired flame height can be set with the flame controller.
1. Turning the flame controller counter clockwise (towards "+") enlarges the flame but also consumes
more gas.
2. Turning the flame controller clockwise (towards "-") makes the flame smaller.
Recommendation: The burner is optimally set if the flame is blue. If the tip of the flame starts to get red,
the gas tank is almost empty. Switch the gas burner off and fill it as described in "Filling with Gas."

Switching Off

1. To switch off the appliance, turn the flame controller clockwise (towards "-") until it clicks.
2. Make sure the flame is completely extinguished and allow the appliance to cool off.

Ventilating the Gas Tank

From time to time, you should "ventilate" the burner, i.e. completely empty the tank.
1. Make sure the room is well ventilated and that there are no open flames (candles, burning cigars or
cigarettes) or other persons in the vicinity or in the
extinguished.
2. Press the valve down gently with an object (e.g. small screwdriver) and allow the remaining gas to
escape.

Cleaning and Storage

• Before cleaning, make sure that the burner is completely extinguished and allow it to cool down.
• Wipe the gas burner with a damp cloth as needed. Then dry it well.
• Do not immerse the gas burner in water or other liquids. Do not clean the appliance in the dishwasher.
• Store the appliance in the original packaging in a dry, cool, well ventilated place
